Alison Krauss and Union Station headlined the second night at Riverbend. You love Alison Krauss' music and voice, but if you have not seen her live - then you have missed out.
She is a joy on stage, fun, funny, and oh so sweet.
One man in the audience shouted - "I LOVE YOU ALISON!" And while it surprised me that that approach did not work for him, he spoke for us all.
What a great performance she gave. I did not record any video because it was requested that no video be taken.
Here are some pictures from the show, and I posted a play list with some of her 26 Grammy awards.

Riverbend Festival is always about the music, but there are so many other happenings going on.
Again this year, we can enjoy watching the sand sculpture on Riverbend Beach. This time some of the great landmarks are on display. The sculpture is by Team Sandtastic. I will post updates as the sculpture progresses.

And the Boy Scouts have a very popular venue this year. I did not try the climbing. (Did not want to show anyone up - least of all me.)

Allison is one of my favorite singers. Hope she comes our way soon. Sounds like you had a lot of fun.
It is interesting that looking at the post statistics - so far every view has clicked through to the post. Alison Krauss is a lot of people's favorite singer. :)
She played to a packed house a few years ago at the Palace Theater in Myrtle Beach. The audience would not let her go. The band packed up and left the stage and she continued to sing with no music...a gorgeous, haunting voice.
What a great story. She is even better live. Hard to describe how much fun her performance was.
Still every view has clicked through.
I would love to get to one of her concerts - love her voice!
