Guess Who came to Riverbend!!
The last night of Riverbend and we were treated to Randy Bachman and Burton Cummings of The Guess Who. They have come together for a reunion tour, and Chattanooga was a very appreciative stop. Randy Bachman was also the driving force of Bachman Turner Overdrive.
Firday night the Bachman Cummings Band performed music from both bands.

The last day of Riverbend also features the BlueCross Riverbend Run, with a 5K walk/run, a 5k competitive run and a 10k competitive run. The men's winner in the 10k race was Joseph Sitieni, a Chattanooga newcomer who was born in Kenya and is making a name in the local track circuit. His time was 32 minutes, 50 seconds. Jan Gautier, a Chattanooga favorite and school teacher, continued her racing dominance locally. Her winning time for the women was 42:58, a little off of her previous winning times of 39:48 and 40:37. The race is run as one of the Chattanooga Track Club events, certified by the USAT&F.

This local group has been quietly making the rounds. I could not find any music on the internet. I should have recorded some during the show at Riverbend. They are really fun to hear. They can be see a couple times each month at Rhythm and Brews on Mondays

Air Force F16 was a hit at the Armed Forces display. The US Army, the US Navy and the US Marine Corps all had popular displays set up for the festival attendees.

Richard - sounds like it was a great time at the Riverbend Festival. You brought me brought me back in time a bit. I remember listening to The Guess Who on my fathers 8-Track!! Those were the good 'ol days....

Thanks for the complement. I do love Riverbend. This year was especially good, by everyone's accounts.
I have one more Riverbend post, on the Riverbend Habitat House.
It will be a little easier to do. This post used everything I know about blogging, plus a couple newly learned tricks.
