The Volkswagen plant decision has just been announced. Chattanooga is the choice. That news is good
for Chattanooga and the surrounding area but also the entire state of Tennessee, and the nearby counties of Georgia.
Projections are that the plant will bring 2,000 direct jobs. Anticipation of this announcement has been in everyone's mind for weeks.
Enterprise South is a world class industrial park, in a world class city, and a big part of the reason Chattanooga was chosen for the new plant. Obtaining this land site, with the vision of creating a Class A development is just
the type of vision that is raising Chattanooga to national prominence.

Congratulations to all who worked so hard to lay the ground for us to be on this stage and to all those who worked diligently to show Volkswagen how special this town is.

Richard: Congratulation to Chatanooga. You beat Clarksville for the VW Plant
Roland,
We remember losing the Toyota Plant last year. It was tough, but those involved kept working away. Huntsville was also a top candidate for the plant. It may be that these two new plants will become a trend of new investment in the entire southeast. And we all win.
Thanks,
Richard
Richard - Great news for Chatanooga ... It will have a long term effect on the economy of the area.
Kathy,
It is great news and the follow up news stories are full of information about benefits to come - local schools, other expansions, new opportunity for Enterprise South.
It is exciting for us here and in the neighboring areas.
Thanks,
Richard
Richard, I thought I commented on this one. I was hoping Clarksville was going to get it. Hopefully, we will get the next one.
