Richard's Real Estate Thoughts: Chattanooga National Geographic 50 Next Great Towns - Chattanooga is not a secret anymore

Chattanooga National Geographic 50 Next Great Towns - Chattanooga is not a secret anymore

National Geographic Sept 08 Cover Next 50 Great TownsIt has just been announced that Chattanooga has been selected as one of the 50 Next Great Towns by National Geographic. The Chamber of Commerce sent an email announcement with the recent chamber newsletter.

The following quote explains the selection criteria, "we selected 50 innovative towns that aren't just prime relocation spots right now but smart choices for the future."

Chattanooga has a lot to offer right now. And as the magazine recognizes there is even more to come. This is a major recognition for our small town, but it is not the first mention of Chattanooga as a top place to live, to work, and to play.

We are a world class city that lives like a small town. Investment in schools, in infrastrucure, commitment to business, to controled and sustainable growth, enjoyment of nature and the art.

Chattanooga is not a secret anymore.

Richard - median home price in Chattanooga is only 125K?  Now that would be a move with instant gratification!  I enjoyed the Nat'l Geo article, the whole thing loaded pretty quickly, good for someone like me with a short attention span.  Quite a nice post showing that Chattanooga is in the top 50 for the future.

Chattanooga is not a secret anymore.  Hmmm...I might have to borrow that.

I agree Chattanooga is an awesome city. "So much to do" I love the mountains views on the drive down!

Virginia,

You have my permission to borrow the phrase. :)

Actually I cannot imagine that it is my original, though I could not tell you where it came from.
